University of California Press announces departure from ProQuest

August 8, 2012

Beginning in 2013, all University of California Press journals, with the exception of Journal of Palestine Studies, will be leaving the ProQuest aggregated databases.

In January 2011, UC Press moved the electronic hosting of all journal content—including our most recent content, as part of the Current Scholarship Program—to the JSTOR platform. With broad domestic and international usage; reasonable pricing; the ability to subscribe to pre-defined content packages as well as to a la carte, single-titles; and platform benefits including multimedia capabilities and a single, cross-searchable and integrated platform, JSTOR has become the de facto destination for students and scholars accessing full-text UC Press journal content.

Currently using UC Press content through ProQuest?

If there are UC Press titles you are currently accessing through ProQuest, but you do not have the corresponding archival or Current Scholarship Program JSTOR access, please contact JSTOR to ensure your patrons do not see their access lapse.
